New WAMSI Chair

WAMSI Board Chair Dr Bernard Bowen will step down on June 30, 2007 at the expiry of his term.

He was chosen by the State Government to establish WAMSI and chaired the interim board, helping to plan WAMSI's focus and future. 

The new Chair is Dr Peter Rogers who will take up his appointment on 1 July 2007. He brings a wealth of experience from the Department of Fisheries where he was Chief Executive Officer for 15 years. He has been an active supporter of WAMSI as a board member before retiring from the department late last year. He will bring opportunities and a strategic business focus facilitating future development opportunities, knowledge and experience.
