Better Science

WAMSI’s model of research project design and management promotes better science, because our science is collaborative and driven by the needs of end-users.

WAMSI currently manages a ~$47 million applied marine research portfolio, involving significant contributions from fifteen government, industry, research and community agencies.

This includes our $30 million Kimberley Marine Research Program and our $17 million Dredging Science Node, both of which are now underway in the northwest of the state.

A number of future research programs are currently in development.

This builds on our previous work in the first round of WAMSI (2007-2011) in which we successfully delivered a ~$93 million applied marine research portfolio.
