WA marine and coastal symposium
Registrations are open for the Monitoring for Action symposium at the Maritime Museum, Fremantle, on November 24.
Western Australia's marine environment has a wealth of biodiversity, unique marine habitats, abundant resources and social values.
The Western Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI) has more than 50 projects dedicated to monitoring the marine environment.
The symposium will outline what people are doing today and how we canimprove our approaches to marine and coastal monitoring.
Two of WAMSI’s partners, the WA Department of Environment and Conservation and the WA Department of Fisheries, have used monitoring as an integral part of their business for many years, and will showcase their work and ongoing requirements.
Speakers are from public agencies, private industryand academic institutions.
