WAMSI end of year event
4 November 2010
The Western Australian Marine Science Institution held its end of year get together at Edith Cowan University yesterday.
Two awards were presented – the first to Graeme Thompson, an engineer who has spent the last three years working as a volunteer for WAMSI during the unfunded Kimberley trips (pictured above), and the second to WAMSI Executive Officer, Linda McGowan, for her untiring work in keeping WAMSI running on schedule.
WAMSI is now in the fourth year of its five-year operation.
Steve Blake said most of the 85 research projects were now ending and all research reports would be with WAMSI by the end of next year.

Pictured at the end of year function were (from left) John Keesing (CSIRO), Andrew Hill (Range to Reef Environmental), Ian Cresswell (CSIRO), Tom Patton (CSIRO) and Anne Mathews (DEC).
