A symposium about the effect of humans and natural forces on coastal ecosystems will be held on 29 July at CSIRO's Floreat office.

The invitation to register for and attend the symposium is attached.

 

Sea change for CEO

8 June 2010

WAMSI’s Chief Executive Officer took a ‘sea change’ by visiting students at the Wembley Downs Primary School on World Oceans Day on 8 June 2010.

Instead of meeting executives Dr Steve Blake armed himself with turtle and coral exhibits as he spoke to more than 300 students, class by class, about the importance of marine life.

Marine Adaptation Network honours and masters research support grants

Up to ten Honours/Masters candidate research grants valued at up to $7,000 each will be offered by the Adaptation Research Network for Marine Biodiversity and Resources.

Chevron visit

November 2008

Western Australian Marine Science Institution Chief Executive Officer, Dr Steve Blake, met Chevron's senior staff at a presentation recently.

He provided an outline of WAMSI's goals and aims, and spoke about new research in the Kimberley-Browse region.
