WAMSI Board Chair Dr Bernard Bowen will step down on June 30, 2007 at the expiry of his term.
He was chosen by the State Government to establish WAMSI and chaired the interim board, helping to plan WAMSI's focus and future.
WAMSI's 2007 Data Management Symposium outlined new trends in storing marine research.
WAMSI's Show and Tell Symposium for WA marine science showcased the progress of its newly-begun research. More than 20 speakers gave presentations.
It was held on 29 March 2007 at Home Base Expo in Subiaco.
The response was overwhelming and the enthusiasm of the participants made for a very positive, interesting and informative day.
The Leeuwin Current Symposium 2007 provided an update on the original Leeuwin Current Symposium held in 1990.
Fourteen invited papers by experts in their fields presented the current state of knowledge of the Leeuwin Current and its impacts.
