CVI Shark Bay

This report describes outcomes from the application of the Climate Vulnerability Index (CVI) for Shark Bay, Western Australia – the first time the CVI process had been applied anywhere in the world.

Climate change has been identified as the fastest growing global threat to World Heritage. The CVI process provides a rapid assessment of climate vulnerability of the World Heritage values and of the associated community (local, domestic and international), for all types of World Heritage properties (natural, cultural or mixed).
